Professor F. Warren McFarlan compares and contrasts the different challenges of for-profit and nonprofit governance and then categorizes these challenges into areas where common solutions may exist and areas where different solutions are required. He also identifies opportunities for nonprofit and for-profit boards to learn from one another.
