Professor Herman B. "Dutch" Leonard explores the application of for-profit business principles to NGO challenges and discusses what board governance should bring to nonprofit organizations. He identifies four areas of accountability, provides frameworks to guide actions in each of these arenas, and discusses the challenges of balancing focus across these domains.
