We Peered Down Its Dark Layers…

Manipulating thrift store lithographs of landscapes by adding painted architecturally driven text, I create work which vaciliates between the serious and the rediculous. Interested in exploring the easy, escapist nature of these "ready-made" personal blend of screwball surrealism and humor. My text, rendered in monumental letters, runs the gamut from vivid pop cultural descriptions to post-modern observations on art to colloquialisms about the American South.
