Lincoln (After Brady) (from Pictures of Ink)

In a new series of photographs, Vic Muniz investigates how an event materializes through the media. Employing a hand-crafted technique that resembles that of mass production. Muniz explores the relationship between the printed dot or TV pixelation and the contruction of an image. The work further examines the connection between the materialization of that image and its historical reading.
