Lundsager relies on unrestrained gestural movements and almost recognizable points of reference to draw her audience into a work. And the emphasis is on "almost." These paintings cannot be nailed down, and that impenetrable quality proves to be their strong point. You think you might see a seascape, a landmass, a grove of trees, an airborne object; yet uncertainty rules, forcing the eye and mind to wander and search.
