Lederman brings back both the intensity and the hidden pain of a child's eye view of the world. Her paintings have a childlike simplicity - offering scatterings of rudimentary drawings and graffiti texts, which begin to read like rebus puzzles. They suggest fragmentary narratives of love, passion, heartbreak or disillusion in the relationships between men and women, fathers and daughters.
