All of the works address the ever-blurring line that separates high from low in our culture; images, styles, methods of painting, classes and societies. In formal terms, there is a hard edge line that runs through my work, which refers back to cartoons, tattoos, signage, and advertising. Images are selected from all walks of life and society, ranging from art to food, from fashion to furniture. My paintings are numbered, signed, copyrighted, and dated to emphasize that these are also products that play into our cultural value sytem.
