Ensuring a Level Playing Field
As a service to HBS Alumni and to the community at large, Alumni Career & Professional Development offers a variety of resources that help employers identify Alumni talent. To facilitate a fair and ethical process, we have developed a set of policies and guidelines to which all recruiting employers must agree. The shared commitment to these policies and guidelines, by both employers and The School, encourages mutual trust leading to mutual success. Please become familiar with the following policies and use them as a reference.

Alumni Job Board
- Intention
-
The Alumni Job Board has been developed with the intention of connecting alumni with employers interested in posting job opportunities for HBS alumni. Through the Alumni Job Board, HBS intends only to connect employers and candidates and is not involved in the placement of candidates or the influence of hiring decisions. Candidates applying for job opportunities listed in the Job Board are doing so for consideration of employment only. Any commercial use of the candidates' names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail or other information is strictly prohibited. This applies particularly to the use of any information for private or public solicitations. Employers who do not abide by this intention will lose their right to post in the Alumni Job Board.
- Usage Guidelines
-
Alumni Career & Professional Development retains the right not to post positions at their discretion.
Professional standards of behavior are expected in all interactions with alumni. Violation of these terms will result in termination of the right to post in the Alumni Job Board.
Board of Directors Database
- Intention
-
The Alumni Board of Directors Resume Database has been developed with the intention of connecting alumni with fellow alumni, executive search firms, and organizations interested in board of directors candidates. HBS intends only to connect fellow alumni, executive search firms, and organizations with candidates and is not involved in candidate placement or the influence of selection decisions. Candidates submitting their profile and resume to this service are doing so for consideration of board of directors positions and not other employment opportunities, as this system is intended solely for board positions. Employers who do not abide by this intention will lose access to the resume database.
- Usage Guidelines
-
Alumni may be contacted for the purpose of specific board of directors opportunities. The information provided in this database may not be used for any other commercial or personal purposes. This applies particularly to the use of any information for private or public solicitations beyond the original intent of board of directors positions. Professional standards of behavior are expected in all interactions with alumni. Violation of these terms will result in termination of access to the resume database.
