NEW HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL EXECUTIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM TO HELP CORPORATE LEADERS SUCCEED IN THE CHANGING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

BOSTON - Harvard Business School (HBS) announced today the launch of a new Executive Education program, Strategic Agility: Leading Flexible Organizations. The program, which will take place at the School's campus in Boston from July 15-20, will help C-level executives recognize and implement the characteristics of an agile organization so that they can better anticipate and adapt to organizational, market, and societal changes.

To assist participants establish a thorough framework for planning and implementing strategies and tactical plans within their organization, the program comprises a sequence of three components:

  • Agile Strategy - examines the ways in which companies can develop and adapt strategies that enhance responsiveness to a fast-changing environment.
  • Agile Structure - assesses how capacity for change can be designed into organizations.
  • Agile Minds - focuses on how the organizational context can be shaped to make people more open to change, and on fostering behaviors that make a company more nimble.
Strategic Agility incorporates unique approaches to engage participants, such as examining insights from the fields of economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology, and evolutional biology to provide a comprehensive approach to what is necessary to create and lead a flexible organization. In addition, creative use of media and unconventional case studies from areas outside the realm of business, including military and sports organizations, will add fresh perspectives and bring abstract concepts to life.
