The 28th Annual HBS African-American Student Union Conference was titled "Leading the Restoration: Black Business Achievements into the 21st Century." The event brought together business leaders, HBS faculty, MBA students, and others to develop and share new ideas for cultivating the leadership, entrepreneurship and empowerment that will be critical to greater prosperity in the Afircan-American community in the years ahead. The annual Harvard Asia Business Conference was sponsored by the HBS Asian Business Club, the Asia Law Society of Harvard Law School, and others. The theme of the conference was "Asia at the Dawn of the Millennium." Coverage focused on the economy of Asia two years after the financial crisis shook and rattled global markets. Speakers addressed the issue of how the region now finds itslef in the midst of a new gold rush driven by new technology, changing business structures, and an ever-evolving political and economic state of affairs.
