Guest of honour among the line up of high-achieving speakers was undoubtedly Barbara Minto, a diminutive lady with a sharp bob and an even sharper sense of humour who in 1963 was one of eight ladies to be among the first to graduate with an MBA in a class of 600 – and the only one resident in the UK.
