The Lessons from A123's demise: How the Government Should Support Innovation

Predictably, Mitt Romney's campaign jumped on the news that A123 Systems, a Massachusetts-based battery maker, has filed for bankruptcy protection. A spokeswoman for Romney dubbed it "yet another failure for the president's disastrous strategy of gambling away billions of taxpayer dollars on a strategy of government-led growth that simply does not work."
