Is it possible for a week to change your entire sense of self, to break down and challenge the person you thought you were? I never thought sitting in a classroom could highlight the minute idiosyncrasies of my character but also define the person I wanted to become. The fifteen case studies we covered during the week challenged my analytical skills and my ability to think quickly under pressure. I realized that to thrive in this type of environment and learn effectively under the case study method, I would have to be well versed in all areas of business, not just in my undergrad specialization. I can honestly say that I have gotten a small dose of the HBS transformational experience.

I learned a great deal from my peers and was utterly humbled to be in a classroom with some of these individuals. One of the professors posed a question to our class: “Why did you apply to this program?” My response was: "to be placed outside of my comfort zone." The SVMP experience did just that but also instilled in me the belief that I could find a home at HBS as an MBA Student.
