No, I cannot make you fly or find true love. But I can help with the goals that we set for ourselves every New Year's Day - that this is the year I will become fitter, feel more energized, and live a healthier life.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a personal trainer is that moment when it clicks for a client. Whether it is the first time they run three miles without stopping or squat 95 pounds without breaking a sweat, there is a singular moment when it becomes apparent that all this hard work is paying off. That they are, without a doubt, heading on the right path. "I don't have the time," "I don't want to do this," "what's the point," turns into "what's next," "this feels great," and "I love it."

In this always-on, frantic culture we live in, there is not enough emphasis on taking better care of ourselves. We go straight from high-achievement to hypertension, obesity, and depression without ever stopping and thinking about why. We should be healthier, we need to be healthier, and with the right support, we will be healthier.

My own dream is that one day obesity levels in the world will finally start dropping. I cannot wait to help make this happen.
