    Submitting Petitions

    *Fellows see FAQ page for registration instructions.

    HU graduate students submit petitions online through My.Harvard.

    MIT Students submit petitions through the MIT course registration portal.

    Tufts/Fletcher students submit petition on-line at Harvard University Cross-registration. (Tufts/MIT student will need to first register for an XID to access catalog.) Please note that faculty approvals will automatically appear on your online petition. This does not guarantee a spot in the course. Registration in the course is dependent upon the results of the cross-registration lottery.

  2. Complete on-line lottery registration.


    The lottery will collect your basic biographic information as well as allow you to tell us your course lottery preferences.

    You should only submit course requests for courses included on your petition.

    Lottery Dates

    Lottery opens Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.

    Lottery closes Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: After submitting the lottery registration, you cannot return to it and edit your selections; you will have to resubmit the entire registration. If an applicant has more than one submission, we will count the most recent submission. Please plan your submission carefully!

    Upon submission, you will receive information on how to access introductory course materials for applicable courses.

  3. Cross-Registration Lottery

    Lottery results will be emailed no later than Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017.

  4. Pick up full course materials

    Students admitted to courses may pick up full course materials beginning September. 6. Cross-Registrants that are not HU students (including Fellows and Post-Docs) must bring a check/money order to receive materials ($200 per 3-credit course/$100 per 1.5 credit course). HU students will be charged through the term bill.

Dropping MBA courses 1. Notify your home school Registrar of your intention to drop your course,
2. Send an email to MBA Registrar Services (mbacrossreg+hbs.edu) indicating your intention to drop.

Receiving your grade 1. MBA Registrar Services will report your grade to your home school registrar's office in January for Fall Term courses and in May for Winter Term courses.
2. You will then receive your grade directly from your home school.
3. Inquiries regarding the timeframe for receiving your grade, or regarding grade conversion should be directed to your home school registrar.
