second-year networking nights
Second-year (class of 2009 only) recruiting launches with a series of three Networking Nights. Companies are assigned to a Networking Night based on their industry.
Please note: Companies may choose to participate in a Networking Night or host a company presentation; however, companies may not participate in both.Career Services will facilitate on-campus presentations on a rolling basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year to ensure accommodation of all companies.
Networking Night Reception Details
- Event Dates (held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
- September 15 - Consulting and Other Services Companies
- September 16 - Financial Services and Real Estate Companies
- September 17 - Communications, CPG, Entertainment, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Media, Retail, Technology Companies, Government and Non-Profit Organizations
- Second-year, class of 2009 audience only
- 30+ organizations from a specific industry or group of industries
- Allows discussion and networking in a more relaxed setting
- Held in a reception hall, in which each company will be assigned a small cocktail table
- Companies may bring brochures, samples, and business cards (no banners please)
- Career Services will provide all company signage and catering free of charge
- Companies who gave a first-year presentation during the 2007/08 recruiting season are strongly encouraged to select the Networking Reception instead of a company presentation
As an alternative to Networking Nights, companies may choose the following:
- On-campus company presentations sponsored by MBA Career Services on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. On-campus presentations for second-year students may begin on September 23rd; on-campus presentations for first-year students may begin on November 11th. Our office cannot guarantee that industry conflicts will not occur during these time slots.
- Off-campus company presentations beginning on September 8th for second-year students; November 10th for first-year students. All off-campus presentations must be approved through MBA Career Services and may not begin before 5:30 p.m.
08-09 Date Requests: Please note the date request survey tool is no longer available, but we are still accepting 2008/09 date requests on a rolling basis. MBA Career Services is collecting requests through the form below. Date requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow up to three weeks for date confirmations.
