HBS 2+2 Program: Application Process

The application for the HBS 2+2 Program, including all instructions, policies, and materials, is now available online.
Admissions Requirements
To be considered for admission, an applicant must complete the following prerequisites:
- Junior year of undergraduate academic experience, or equivalent
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken 7/1/04, or later
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) taken 7/1/07, or later, if you are an international applicant attending a non-English-speaking undergraduate university
- Submission of a complete online application for evaluation by 7/1/09
Application Dates
There are two key application dates for the 2+2 Program in the Summer of 2009:
- 2+2 Application Submission: 7/1/09 (5 p.m. EST)
- 2+2 Admissions Notification: 9/1/09
To avoid heavy server traffic and potential delays, we encourage candidates to submit application materials as early as possible. Regretfully, requests for decisions earlier than 9/1/09 cannot be accommodated.
The 2+2 application is now available online.
Application Components
The HBS 2+2 Program application for the MBA class entering fall of 2012 consists of the following materials. All materials must be submitted online. Please assemble and prepare them to help us access your qualifications.
- 4 Application essay responses
- Current resume
- 2 Recommendations
- Uploaded or self-reported transcripts from all undergraduate academic institutions attended (full-or part-time)
- GMAT or GRE scores from a test taken 7/1/04, or later
- TOEFL or IELTS score from a test taken 7/1/07, or later (if applicable)
- Signed HBS Community Values statement
- Signed Statement of Application Integrity
- Nonrefundable U.S. $100 application fee (credit card only)
Essays
Required Questions
- What are your three most substantial accomplishments and why do you view them as such? (600-word limit)
- What would you like us to know about your undergraduate academic experience? (400-word limit)
- What have you learned from a mistake? (400-word limit)
Please also respond to one of the following (400-word limit each):
- Discuss how you have engaged with a community or organization.
- What area of the world are you most curious about and why?
- What is your career vision and why is this choice meaningful to you?
