WHAT IS YOUR DAY JOB AT HBS?

I'm a fundraiser at HBS working with recent graduates and current students (Yes, you!). Don’t worry, I promise not to be actively soliciting you on the trip but I do hope you’ll all accept my call come June!  The major focus of my role revolves around keeping young alumni engaged with HBS, education around the impact of alumni support, and highlighting the importance of participation, regardless of the amount!

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A PROGRAM MANAGER BEFORE?

This will be my first year.  I've been attempting to be picked for four years in a row (it's a competitive field!) and I could not be any more excited to finally have the opportunity this year, and in Japan of all places!

WHAT EXCITES YOU MOST ABOUT TRAVELING WITH STUDENTS AND FACULTY?

I do not have that many opportunities in my day-to-day life to interact with current students and faculty members, so I am really looking forward to that opportunity.  I spend a lot of time talking with alumni about the program and the international perspective it provides, so it will be wonderful to be able to speak first hand with our alumni about this incredible experience.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN IN JAPAN?

I hope to learn more about the culture, and I look forward to learning more about the IFC experience.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CAN’T TRAVEL WITHOUT?

I love exploring cities by foot, so comfortable shoes are a must!

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A TRAVELER, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

Open to exploring.

IF YOU COULD SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

I've tried to learn Italian about four times, languages have never been a strong suit of mine.  I wasn’t born with the gene.  That being said, it would be an incredible skill set to have, and I have deep envy of those who can speak multiple languages.  I think if I could pick any language to speak fluently it would likely still be Italian – I fell in love with the place in college, dream of going back, and it would be a great foundation to hopefully learn many more languages.
