In 1935, American Home Products purchased Brush’s company, Affiliated Products, Incorporated and installed Brush as AHP’s new CEO. Over the next thirty years, Brush presided over a massive growth and diversification plan, purchasing dozens of businesses to expand AHP’s share of the household products market. During his tenure, revenues were increased by a factor of 38 – from $16 million in 1935 to $620 million in 1965.
