Crandall is credited with several innovations in the airline industry including introducing the original “Super Saver” fares, launching the first frequent flyer program, and developing the first yield management system for maximizing revenue. He was also instrumental in upgrading American Airlines’ SABRE computer reservation system that has become a model of efficiency in the overall travel industry.
