iCommons brings together academic software developed at Harvard University's schools and creates an integrated platform from these modules to support Harvard faculty with online resources to support teaching. Using the excellent work already done in Harvard's schools as a springboard, the iCommons Mission is to provide shared software platforms, tools, and services to support on-campus and distance learning courses for Harvard schools that select to participate, and to create a collaborative forum for information sharing and software development. HBS has contributed several key applications to the iCommons effort, including JavaPoll and iSites.
