Overview

Mission

The mission of the Harvard Business School Healthcare Initiative is:

To improve the performance of the global healthcare system by creating and disseminating knowledge that increases the effectiveness of the leadership of the full range of healthcare organizations.

In order to accomplish this, HBS will convene an interdisciplinary community of scholars—within the Business School, the broader Harvard community, and the wider global academy—along with national and international healthcare and business leaders. This community will apply the core strengths of HBS to pursue higher performance in healthcare decision making and in the management of healthcare institutions worldwide.

The Initiative will produce leading-edge research, a world-class MBA healthcare curriculum, and Executive Education Programs that attract, challenge, and enhance the skills of healthcare leaders from around the world.
