Students pursuing careers in health care receive extensive job search and career development support from our MBA Career & Professional Development office, the HBS Health Care Initiative, and the student-led Health Care Club.
Interview prep sessions, résumé-writing workshops, and career round-tables are organized each year to help students learn more about specific health care sectors, prepare for internships, and network with other students and alumni.
HBS health care career coaches hold MBA degrees and have extensive experience in the industry that will help students establish a fundamental understanding of various health care sectors. They are available to assist students in career planning, securing a summer internship, and finding full-time job opportunities.
HBS hosts a large number of companies on campus each year for interviews, presentations, and networking events. During the first year, presentations and networking events are organized with recruiters in health care who are looking to fill summer internships and full-time positions. Recruiting partners include leading biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic companies, as well as financial services, consulting, health care delivery, and health services organizations.
Health Care Industry Week
HBS regularly invites alumni who work in the health care field to participate in career panels, speak on a health care topic, or host a lunch-and-learn session. Panels and events are typically organized around industry sectors, such as Life Sciences, Health Care Investing, Digital Health, Health Care Delivery and Entrepreneurship.
HBS MBA students are connected to nearly 70,000 alumni in more than150 countries. Alumni are available to help current students explore career opportunities. There are many ways to connect with alumni
whether it’s on campus at conferences or events or throughout the world during
