Emily Williams

Assistant Professor of Business Administration

Emily Williams is an assistant professor of business administration in the Finance Unit, teaching the Finance II course to MBA students.

Professor Williams’ research focuses on financial intermediation, empirical corporate finance, and monetary policy. Her primary interest lies in understanding bank funding structure, financing frictions, and the impact of bank financing frictions on the real economy.  Professor Williams’ current research also covers a broad range of additional disciplines, including monetary economics and safe assets.  

After earning an MA in mathematics with honors at Warwick University, and subsequently working in the finance industry in various roles, Professor Williams received her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a PhD in finance at London Business School.
