Carliss Baldwin (HBS), Karim Lakhani (HBS), Stefan Thomke (HBS), Eric von Hippel (MIT) and Benjamin Mako Hill (U of Washington)The 12th International Open and User Innovation Workshop will be held from July 28th to July 30th at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston, USA. For the convenience of long-distance travelers also attending AOM, it is scheduled just prior to the AOM 2014 Conference (Philadelphia).
The International Open and User Innovation Workshop is the leading academic conference on Open and User Innovation. Around 200 researchers from various disciplines (such as innovation management, strategic management, organization design, marketing, intellectual property right management, entrepreneurship, and public policy) meet annually, in order to exchange recent research findings and plans related to Open and User Innovation.
Attendee Requirements
Admission is open to academics and scholars who are faculty, postdoctoral fellows or students currently enrolled in PhD programs.Requirements for Speaking Slots
If you wish to present your research at the OUI 2014 meeting, you need to submit a working paper embodying the research by June 1, 2014.Requirements for Poster Sessions
If you wish to present research not yet completed or in the planning stages by participating in a poster session at the OUI 2014 meeting, please submit a brief abstract of your research idea, and progress made to date by June 1, 2014.This year we are pleased to announce that the following scholars will serve as track chairs who will evaluate papers submitted on the topics listed, and will help to design the conference program:

Registration and CostsThe workshop is generously supported by the HBS Division of Research and Faculty Development. With this assistance, we can offer conference fees of $200 for faculty and $50 for students - covering all meeting costs including refreshments, lunches, and dinners during the program. Please note that all attendees are responsible for both arranging and funding their own travel and lodging.
