I taught for five years in the first-year MBA course, Business, Government, and the International Economy. This year I joined Aldo Musacchio in teaching Globalization and Emerging Markets to second-year MBAs, as well as the FIELD 2 team in leading a group of first-year MBA students to Mumbai for project-based learning. In addition, I have taught sessions in executive education courses at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, and in Liberia and Tanzania. Many of the cases I teach are ones that I have written—about frontier- and emerging-market businesses, economies, organizations, and public-private partnerships in Africa, Asia, and Europe. I have enjoyed the challenge of bringing theoretical and conceptual frameworks to the study of business analysis in emerging markets, while remaining faithful to the case method of teaching.
