Abstract: I show how the social network revolution preceded the internet and mobile revolutions. In this triple revolution, the new social operating system of 'networked individualism' liberates people from the restrictions of tightly knit groups to personal networks. I present evidence how personal relationships have affect households, community and work. I also discuss how people balance multiple overlapping networks.
