Why did you choose to work at HBS?
Being a native Texan, I never thought I would end up working at the esteemed Harvard Business School. A previous colleague of mine who had interned at HBS told me about the Executive Education programs which seemed to be an ideal fit for me. When given the opportunity to work at HBS, I jumped at the prospect to work with the finest faculty, key executives worldwide and valued staff in a high energy campus environment.
Where were you working before?
Prior to HBS, I was working in Marketing and Development for a private lobbyist association on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
How has your career developed at Harvard or HBS?
In the past 2 years here at Harvard Business School, the opportunities have been infinite. Working for the Owner/President Management Program in the Executive Education Department, I have met some of the most astounding and influential leaders from all around the world. The faculty still never cease to amaze me with the dynamics they add to each class they teach.
There are many different opportunities to be involved in the Executive Education Department, such as committees to better the organization and operations of the Department. I have become Co-Chair of the Social Committee.
I have also utilized the best benefit at Harvard and enrolled in the Harvard Extension School for a Masters in General Management. I am scheduled to complete this Masters program in May 2013.
