WIP/WOM Seminar Series

The Work in Progress (WIP) seminar for DBA students is held every other Tuesday for 1.5 hours between 12:00 to 1:30 pm in Cumnock 230. PhD students are more than welcome. Lunch is provided!

Every DBA student in the third year and above should present at least once per year and attend regardless of whether the topic is directly related to their field. Some faculty will attend regularly, and presenters can ask particular faculty to attend, if they wish.

Presenters should add their paper to the Publications page in their online directory listing which will be linked to the presentation announcement. Please update your listing at: http://drfd.hbs.edu/fit/edit/. If you would like to present on one of the open dates, please email LuAnn Langan to reserve the date.

This year, the WIP's sessions will alternate weeks with the Work, Organizations, and Markets (WOM) seminar run by OB doctoral students Amanda Merryman and John Almandoz. (However, the WOM will meet in Baker Library 101 unless otherwise noted.) The goal is to provide doctoral students with an opportunity to present their work to groups with varied disciplinary backgrounds. Even though the WOM has an OB focus and constituency, non-OB students with organizational-type topics are encouraged to present their research at the WOM. Likewise, OB students are encouraged to present their work to the WIP. And, of course, all students are welcome to attend either or both seminar series.
