Introduction

I have always had an intellectual curiosity about how effectively the corporate world works and why it is structured the way it is. Also, I really enjoy teaching other people and transferring the knowledge I have. Both led me to a career in academia and HBS.

My Research Interests

My research interests include: corporate communication, corporate governance, information intermediation, and financial intermediation. I have discovered that things are not as simple as I used to think. Many more factors affect economic life and we still have very limited understanding of those.

The Accounting & Management Program

I received an interdisciplinary education by taking classes taught by faculty from all units at HBS. I think this will be a great tool for the future. Most importantly, I believe an interdisciplinary perspective helps you identify the issues that are really important in business and avoid concentrating narrowly in your field. With respect to Accounting, I have been mentored by some great academics. They have always been supportive and willing to advise me on my academic career.

The HBS Experience

I've made some great friends, and learned a lot from them. A typical day for me is working hard from early in the morning, training hard in the gym, going out with friends at night, and sleeping about 5 hours a day.

After HBS

I intend to stay in academia. My goal is to design my own class based on students' interests and my research interests. At the same time I will try to push my research agenda forward and to publish in top academic journals.
