Application Components
The application for PRIMO 2024 is now open through February 14, 2024!
All files must be uploaded as pdf files through the online application portal. There is no fee to submit an application.
- Submit a complete application, which will include three short essay questions.
- Copy of your current transcript.
- One academic letter of recommendation. Recommendation letters are submitted online through our secure website; please be sure to enter your recommender's information in the application as soon as possible.
- Resume.
- Review the PRIMO Research Areas: You will be asked to select your top three topics of interest in your application.
Application Evaluation
Evaluation of the applicant will be based on how well and how effectively the components of the application define and address these qualities and requirements, as well as general fit with the program and overall quality of the applicant pool.
Responding to questions regarding race and ethnicity within the application is optional and voluntary if you choose to respond. The information will not be considered in the application process. Your application will not be negatively impacted if choosing not to answer one or any of these questions.
Top applicants will interview with program staff. The first round of interviews will be an opportunity for applicants to learn more about specific projects that will be available in the summer. Finalists will meet with faculty to interview and discuss further project details.
After an applicant has been selected, one must re-verify their intention to participate, and commit to the schedule and activities for the full 10-week duration of PRIMO.
