Research focuses on information and measurement systems for allocating resources among firms in the economy; rewarding and monitoring the performance of managers; formulating, executing and evaluating strategy; and understanding the profitability of suppliers, products, customers, distribution channels, and business units.
Business Economics (includes Finance)
Focuses on the use of economic analysis and statistical methods for dealing effectively with management problems in applied business fields such as capital markets, financial institutions, corporate finance, experimental and behavioral economics, business strategy and industrial organization.
Health Policy Management
Prepares students to do research on the managerial, operational, and strategic issues facing a wide range of organizations in the health care industry.
Management
Research focuses on management theory and knowledge that is relevant to management practice. Research themes include innovation, entrepreneurship, organizational learning, and networks.
Marketing
Draws on economic, behavioral, psychological and administrative theory to research important marketing problems centered on the immediate and future needs and wants of customers.
Organizational Behavior
Combines training in the theory and methods of psychology or sociology with the study of business administration and empirical research on organizational phenomena.
Science, Technology & Management
Focuses on the impact of science and technology on business and the business-related issues and economic factors that are critical forces in shaping the development of new technologies.
Strategy
Pursues multi-disciplinary research that utilizes multiple methodologies-quantitative, as well as qualitative-to study how companies and industries around the world develop and sustain competitive advantage.
Technology & Operations Management
Research on manufacturing and service operations, including management of new product, process development, and technological innovation; operations management and strategy; and logistics and supply chain management.
