How to Apply to a PhD Program
Applications to our joint PhD programs with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences are processed by the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). By clicking on the link below, you will be redirected to the GSAS application system.
Required Application Materials
- Completed application form
- Resume
- Statement of Purpose
- Official transcripts for all college/university degrees and courses
- Current GMAT or GRE scores (exam taken within the last five years, 2004-2009)
- TOEFL scores (non-native English speakers; exam taken within the last two years, 2007-2009)
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one from an academic source)
- $90 application fee
Note: The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will not accept more than three applications from any one individual over the course of his/her lifetime.
