How do we define success?
Hakuta on success

My definition of success has definitely evolved over the years, and I think it should evolve for everybody.
I think when I graduated from business school, I wanted to, one, make money. You know, you have to make money, because you have to survive. And you just want to make money. That's one thing. And you want to do interesting things, and you want to be creative.
And just a few years out of business school, a lot of that shifts, and I think as I made some money, I wanted to do more creative projects. Well, one, you have to have some money. Otherwise you can't do anything. I have to go work at Citibank, you know—go to those nice people at Citibank and say, "Remember me from ten years ago? I'm back. Can I join your training program?" So.
But then you want to be creative. Then you want to give back. You want to do something that will be good for the community; your community, the broader community, the national community, the international community, however you define it.
