How do we define success?
Dimon on success

My definition of success? You know, I don't know if it has evolved that much. And I'm not sure I exactly know what success is, because there was a great article written in the paper many years ago by a Medal of Honor winner, Omaha Beach 1944, who said that he was now like 70 looking back on his life, and he realized that—well, he was obviously proud of what he did, and he'll never forget it. And he also acknowledged that the kids who died there deserved the medal because they gave the full measure of devotion.
But, he said, when you look back, it's the people—his teachers, friends, doctors—people who enhanced everyone they touched, their families, and made it a better society. And they did it every single day for sixty or seventy years. And that is success. I don't think there's any one measure of how you would measure, you know, someone's contribution to this planet.
