How do we define success?
Clarke on success
Transcript
Success, much like life, or love, or any other critical term, is something that is defined individually.
And I think what is most surprising for me, among my Harvard Business School classmates, is that outsiders might think that success here is defined in terms of dollars and cents, or euros, or yen, depending on where you come from.
Yet I think that the common experience that we've all had at Harvard Business School allows us to be honest with one another when we come together for reunions. And you find that success for all of us is a universal concept. And it's about being happy, it's about family, it's about deep individual fulfillment, independent of what the outside world might see, in terms of titles, and financial achievements.
