"The AMP in the Far East," wrote Philippine President Carlos P. Garcia, after the fourth run of the program in his country, "is doing more than just training men for managerial work. It is also aiding Asian companies in still another manner.

"I am referring to the opportunity afforded Filipino and foreign students from neighboring Far Eastern and Middle Eastern countries of cultivating enduring friendships which will undoubtedly go a long way in enabling them to better understand each other's problems. The past four years have already generated much goodwill in this direction."
