A lot of the time, I was working with the Advanced Management Program, which was fulfilling a very valuable thing for me. Because, you know, as an English Ph.D., I was aware of the fact that the main problem of the Business School was the faculty's lack of knowledge of business. And I certainly was number one in that regard! And working with AMP tells you a lot about business in a hurry.

And then being able, as a consequence of that, to not only get access to cases, I got access to—as I did the watch industry. And that is credited with because I was in Switzerland, and doing it. And I had superb research assistant help. And had the clout of Cortèse and Bignami, the heads of Nestle, being able to go to a secretive Swiss company, and say, "It's okay to take part with this guy."
