Video Clip – Laura Linard on Historical Collections
In Historical Collections we have about 350,000 volumes of books, and pamphlets, and newspapers, and serials. In terms of manuscript and archival material, we define it in linear footage. So we have 28,000 linear feet of archival and manuscript material. And about 30,000 photographs, and our corporate report collection is really very extensive, and represents over 25,000 companies.
So everything has these rather astounding numbers next to them. And again, it’s the depth and the scope, because the institution has been collecting for such a period of time, and with such a focus that has allowed us to really develop these collections.
