While at the University of Manitoba, taking my undergraduate course, their faculty was really quite good, but they had one man who, I later realized, was a bit of a fraud, if you might put it that way.
In any case, he was delivering these very interesting lectures. And one day I was up at his desk, and noticed that his lecture sheets were all pages torn out of a book that he was reading from, never admitting the authorship. The book was that book, over there—Arthur Stone Dewing’s Financial Policy of Corporations. And that led me to that book.
