"I remember at the Thanksgiving break Professor Matthews called me. And we used to call him Nails, because he was so tough. And he said, you know, this was a couple of days before the long weekend. He said, 'Well, you're going to flunk out because you haven't talked yet. And I'm going to call on you on Tuesday morning to start the class. And here's several things I want you to read. And here's the question I'm going to ask you.'
And so you know what I did on Thanksgiving that year. But, well, anyway, I gradually figured it out."
