A Message from the Dean
Our approach to planning for our Centennial celebration in 2008 was grounded in the work of our faculty, rooted in the spirit of our classroom—whether in person or virtual—and based on our commitment to ideas with power in practice. The case method, with its focus on dialogue and the exchange of ideas, provided the foundation for all the anniversary events, from the colloquia to The Conversation.
We thought about and defined our audience broadly ... from HBS alumni, students, faculty, and staff, to business leaders, academics, and the media.
Throughout the year we showcased Harvard Business School's 100 years of leadership in management education and research and explored what the next century is likely to bring. In today's challenging global economy, these issues remain important and timely.
