Laura Phillips Sawyer is an assistant professor in the Business, Government, and International Economy Unit, where she teaches a course by the same name in the MBA required curriculum. Previously, Professor Sawyer held the Harvard-Newcomen Fellowship in Business History at HBS. She received her PhD in American History from the University of Virginia and subsequently held a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s Political Theory Project. At Brown she taught a seminar, “The History of US Capitalism: Regulating the Marketplace,” in the History Department and co-taught a course in Political Science, “Prosperity: The Ethics and Economics of Wealth Creation.”  Full Biography...
